BlueHalo is seeking an Assistant Contractor Security Specialist Officer (ACSSO) to join our team and work in a dynamic high tempo environment to deliver Mission First results The successful candidate will work as a member of a team to develop, implement and administer the local industrial security program to include Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) activities. The candidate shall respond quickly and effectively to security needs and concerns. The successful candidate will provide program security support to a Maryland based Intelligence Community (IC) client.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Support and administer all security aspects for multiple programs, including implementing program, facility and physical security requirements to ensure compliance with NISPOM, DCIDs, ICDs, and federal security regulations/requirements.
  • Develop and administer security programs and procedures for classified materials, documents, and equipment.
  • Participate in the development, writing and review of security documentation and provide guidance and assistance for all security levels including collateral and SCI information.
  • Investigate and manage security incidents and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
  • Conduct collateral and SCI Indoctrination briefings and educational training for new and current employees and coordinate security debriefings as necessary.
  • Conduct candidate pre-screen interviews and serve as an integral participant in the recruiting process.
  • Maintain all DD-254s including compiling and disseminating sub-DD254s.
  • Responsible for SCIFs and will be required to respond to after-hours alarms.
  • Support other facility security items as necessary.
  • Participate in proposal support, as needed to include writing Security Volumes.
  • Be an active member of the security team.
  • Responsible for preparing clearance request packages.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance in order to be considered for this position
  • Bachelor's Degree OR 3-7 years of related experience
  • Candidate should have excellent communication, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and identify solutions
  • Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders, to ensure security compliance
  • Experience in database functions, including DISS, eQIP/eAPP, NBIS, and other government application
  • Previous security experience with the Intelligence Community
  • Knowledge of the various security disciplines such as physical security, personnel security, information system security and industrial security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned programs
Desired Skills:
  • CSSO/SSO course completion.
  • Completion of the ICD 705 Course
  • Experience with SIMS

Salary Range: $100K-$140K
