Role: GRC Analyst Location: Columbus, OH Work Type: Hybrid Duration: 12+ months Contract: Only W2 Candidates, No Corp to Corp applicants Execute compliance related activities (e.g., self-assessment, remediation tracking, remediation recommendations, policy/standards interpretation, and pre-checks) within the areas of data privacy, and other regulatory compliance activities, e.g., GDPR and SOX ITGCs Participate and lead projects related to GRC activities, ranging from local to regional projects- Effectively communicate with internal and external resources, departments. Effectively manage daily operational tasks and rotate PDCA for continuous improvement. What will this person be working on: Coordinate and support annual IT Compliance activities (Data privacy self-assessments, Policy compliance self-assessments, EU GDPR self-assessments, Mobile application self-assessments) Support on-going monitoring and tracking of planned remediation items across the region related to all compliance activities programs. Plan and perform pre-checks of ITGCs as part of the GRC certification process to determine design and operational effectiveness prior to auditor testing. This includes IT projects impacting SOX in-scope applications, and applications that become in-scope for SOX ITGC. Assist SOX ITGCs control owners with the root cause analysis of audit findings and track remediation action plan. Assist SOX ITGC Compliance Lead as requested by management Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS' Previous working experience with GRC and in IT with defining, analyzing, and documenting processes procedures related to disciplines within IT. Understanding of regulated environment for SOX ITGCs and Data Privacy or related IT audit background and information security related projects. CISA Certification. Professional writing skills. Experience presenting to various level of management (Unit-Executive). Strong understanding of project management principles. In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws Position Competencies Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision. Processes large quantities of detailed information with high levels of accuracy. Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis Seeks discrepancies and inconsistencies in available information; explains variances. Organizes and prioritizes the sequence of steps to be taken to remedy the situation. Identifies many possible causes for a problem based on prior experience and current research. Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of a specific domain, its current trends, directions, and regulatory considerations; ability to apply domain-specific knowledge to relevant situations. Works with domain experts in projects involving multiple and diverse environments.
