Job Summary
The Inclusion & Diversity Specialist will support strategies and initiatives across all areas of our business. Partner with key stakeholders (business, human resources) to drive execution of I & D strategic plan focused on achieving higher levels of diversity representation, developing inclusive leaders and creating an inclusive environment. Provide hyper-focused and detail-oriented support to the I&D team including project management, action plan development, event and training coordination, community partnerships and more. Provide project management support and use tools/processes for defining project objectives, key stakeholders, timeline and major milestones and tasks, as well as prioritization of project in relation to others. Support I&D programs through reporting and analytics, system management, action plan development, material preparations, identified follow up activities following review meetings.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

-Monitor key metrics to develop an effective reporting approach that measures the impact and effectiveness of our strategy and ongoing initiatives for I&D programs.

-Influence better decisions related to people practices and HR priorities through compelling data, analysis and recommendations.

-Partner with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration that furthers our goals around being an inclusive employer of choice.

-Support development and launch of inclusion and diversity training programs aligned with

Learning and Development to educate, promote and drive the I&D culture.

Conduct, facilitate, and coordinate training and education on diversity and inclusion topics.

Actively promote employee awareness of and engagement with Diversity and Inclusion.

-Partner with HR leaders and internal communications on the development, implementation and communication of Medline's I&D roadmap.

-Assist with the creation of diversity-related collateral (brochures, newsletters, and internal & external website content).

-Configure and customize SharePoint system according to company specifications and maintain all content housed on the I&D and employee engagement SharePoint sites.

-Organize, facilitate and support execution of internal events, workshops, and programs focused on sense of belonging in our company.

-Support the development of presentations to advance awareness of key initiatives and demonstrate the impact to the business.

-Partner with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to build programs and awareness as well as support their operation including on-boarding, training, and guideline development.

-Measure, track and analyze ERG data and impact of initiatives, partnering with the HR Data team.

-Serve as a liaison between Medline and external stakeholders through communication, as well as serving on committees.

Participate in external meetings, conferences, and/or events.

Education

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in business related field.

Work Experience

At least 2 years of experience in human resources or similar professional field including the development and implementation of corporate-wide programs.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Understanding of diversity and inclusion challenges in a complex organization. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments.

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation/facilitation skills.

Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization.

Collaborative and team-oriented: able to effectively work across global cultures and partner with business leaders.

Ability to be discreet, maintain complete confidentiality and utilize prudent judgment demonstrating integrity and sensitivity.

Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.

Position may require travel up to 20% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
