**Overview**

Our Client is seeking to staff a new contract position a Talend Data Warehouse Specialist.

The Talend Data Warehouse Specialist works to support a new Talend Data Warehouse implementation that will serve numerous law enforcement applications, data providers and data consumers. TheTalend Data Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for all facets of the ETL process but will assist with the construction, operation, and support of the Talend data warehouse environment

**Responsibilities**

* Develops and executes ETL projects, activities and processes in the Talend Data Warehouse environment.

* Provides technical support, guidance and consultation with subject matter and issues related to data warehousing and supported applications.

* Writes complex SQLs to analyze and troubleshoot issues and problems.

* Completes related projects as assigned.

* Deep understanding of data analysis, data architecture, data cleaning and data quality.

* Deep understanding of SQL and stored procedures.

* Deep understanding of BI/DW architecture and concepts.

* Deep understanding of how data governance plays a role in BI/DW.

* Deep understanding of how multiple data sources can be consolidated together to produce BI solutions.

* Possesses strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills.

* Ability to partner across IT to support agile project development and short cycle iterations to deliver continuous business value.

* Excellent writing and oral communications skills.

* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to details.

* Strong relationship management and collaboration skills

**Required Skills & Experience**

* Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or other related discipline.

* At least ten (10) years of IT industry experience.

* At least five (5) years of experience in data warehouse architecture, ETL design and development.

* Strong technical experience in

+ Talend ETL data layer.

+ Talend ETL development.

+ Talend Hash Map development.

+ Building framework based ETL workflow to ingest, transform and aggregate data.

* Experience in ETL methodology for performing Data Profiling, Data Migration, and Data Extraction, Transformation and Loading with Talend.

* Experience in implementing complex business rules by creating reusable transformations and robust mappings using Talend transformations.

* Experience in creating Talend ETL jobs using ETL methodologies and best practices by following naming standards.

* Experience with industry standard CICD methods.

* Experience with Microsoft Azure.

* Experience with Tableau report-writing and dashboarding.

* Experience with data integration tools such as Talend, Informatica, Data Stage.

* Experience with database technologies such as Redshift, Aurora, Oracle, Teradata and Vertica.

* High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

* Relevant certifications
