North Lime Coffee & Donuts is specialty coffee shop and donut bakery offering life-changing donuts and handcrafted beverages at 4 locations in Kentucky. We offer a community focused atmosphere, flexible schedule, and a creative work environment filled to the brim with fun supportive folks.

**About the Role**

The Shift Manager supervises employees in a retail coffee and donut shop environment. They plan and assign work for the teams they are leading. They implement policies and procedures that have been created both for their shop and for the company. They recommend improvements in quality, service methods, operating procedures and working conditions to the store manger.

**Requirements**

**Basic Skills**

* Perform all duties reflected in the Barista and Donut Engineer Job Description

* Presents a positive attitude towards the job

* Willingness to cooperate and contribute with North Lime Leadership

* Be able and eager to perform all of the different tasks at a North Lime shop

* Represent North Limes values at work

* Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without accommodation

* Available to work a variety of hours and maintain flexibility in scheduling

* Available to work during North Limes peak business hours and days

* Remain calm during times of high stress

* Multitask well

* Provide feedback in a positive manner

* Manage the efficiency and accuracy of people working on a shift

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

* Reflect servant leadership with the teams they work with.

* Ensure that the break and rest period policy for North Lime is observed for all employees.

* Ensure effective employee relations; providing employee coaching and development; making employment decisions; resolving employee issues through conflict resolution

* Demonstrate intentional personal growth and development, along with honesty, integrity, and humility in decision-making and interactions with employees

* Provide initial and ongoing training and coaching of team members in crafting beverages and donuts and report progress to Store Manager

* Create an ongoing coaching environment

* Integrate the unique skills and contributions of each team member into the store experience

* Perform incident investigations when necessary

* Maintain proper inventory levels

* Tracking and reporting absenteeism and time-tracking

* Communicate with Store Manger about maintenance and staff issues

* Integrate honesty, integrity, and humility in decision-making and interactions with customers

* Model servant leadership and generosity with customers

* Provide a clean, welcoming, family-friendly environment

* Continually seek personal improvement in crafting beverages and donuts.

* Ensure availability of the majority of products during all parts of the day

* Encourage ideas of team members in creating new beverages and donuts.

**Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)**

* Possess and maintain Certified Food Managers Permit in compliance with local or state regulations

* Quality orientation and attention to detail

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a strong team-building skills

* Ability to reconcile cash drawers and bank deposits

* Ability to be discreet with employee and company matters

* All minimum qualifications as described in the Barista and Donut Engineer job description

Tasting and smelling abilities are required occasionally to distinguish with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
