Job Summary and QualificationsCritical Care Float Pool Nurse
The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.Utilizes therapeutic communication in daily practice.Maintains a safe therapeutic environment.Identifiesnursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.Plans individualized patient careutilizingan interdisciplinary approach.Participates in performance improvement activities.Provides care and coordinates participation that fosters the goals of the hospitals mission and vision statement.The Float Pool RN will float throughout all adult ICUs in the facility.
What you will do in this role:
- You willdemonstratethe ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the competency validation checklist(s).?
- You willdemonstrateage specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.?
- You will ensure the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI).?
- You willutilizenursing process for individual care to meetneedsof patients.?
- You will document all patient care.?
- You will promote customer service initiatives.?
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- Current TN RN licensure.
- American Heart Association BLS.
- ICU, PCU, ENDO, PACU, SDS, PAT, Cath Lab, ED: ACLSrequiredwithin 6 months.
- PACU & ED: PALSrequiredwithin 6 months.
- ED Nurses: CPI certification trainingrequiredwithin 6 months.
