Job Summary :

Project Engineer with 5 – 7 years of experience (ComEd preferred) of Overhead or Underground utilities distribution. This position includes performing engineering tasks on multiple small to medium sized projects with a moderate level of technical difficulty; coordinating and completing complex distribution designs independently, managing a team of engineers, and giving a complete QA/QC check on other designer’s projects.

Responsibilities include: Applying sound engineering knowledge of engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignments Developing contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and current technological innovations Developing and maintaining quality relationships with clients Leads projects and project team in the execution of several mid-to-large scale projects Communicates and coordinates project activities with internal team members Perform Quality Assurance (QA) design reviews and Peer Reviews for all project documents Performs peer reviews and mentors project team members Assists in the preparation of scoping documents and fees Prepares and reviews project drawings in TED Resolves design questions and technical concerns Provides excellent client/customer service Will be managing a team of 3 – 4 engineers *PE license preferred Requirements:

Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or equivalent technical degree 5 – 7 years minimum of experience with Distribution Design, ComEd experience preferred Knowledge of industry codes and standards Ability to interface effectively with clients, employees, and management team is essential Motivated to continually take on more responsibility and lead the team Collaborative approach to problem solving Strong communication skills Additional Requirements:
