  • LIfeguard must hold current Red Cross and/or YMCA Lifeguard certification or comparable national cert. (If you do not have a current Lifeguard certification, please contact Aquatics Director at the Thomas E. Hannah YMCA.)
  • Lifeguard must be certified in CPR for the Pro Rescuer and First Aid
  • Must be at least 16 years of age and in high school or graduated
  • Must be able to complete any and all required training and employee application process as well as any other required certifications as the job progresses
  • Must be able to make sound decisions in a stressful aquatics environment
  • Lifting up to 100 pounds may be required
  • Working around chemicals may be required
  • Be alert with no lapses in consciousness
