- Assists the Sportsbook Manager in monitoring and making recommendations of Sportsbook risk and liability, leading up to and during sporting events.
- Assists in the setup and posting of all sporting events.
- Communicates and explains wagering to new patrons.
- As needed, responsible for placing sports wagering tickets, verifying and/or processing winning sports wagering tickets.
- Approves all Sportsbook over-the-limit wagers for the property within guidelines.
- Resolves complaints and manages difficult guest concerns.
- Supervises responsibilities of Sportsbook Team Members.
- Directs daily labor to business volumes.
- Develops processes to consistently train and develop Sportsbook Team Members to improve their skill set and provide continuous improvement in guest service.
- Closes out Sportsbook Ticket Writers at the end of each shift and ensures money transfer to the main Cage.
- Assists the Sportsbook Manager in working with the Marketing department to administer programs & promotions.
- Investigates if Sportsbook patrons are wagering in an unethical or irregular manner or if Sportsbook Team Members are working in an unethical or irregular manner; reports the findings appropriately.
- Ensures Sportsbook cleanliness and proper working conditions of equipment.
- Assists in creating and implementing policies and programs that support the achievement of property and company financial and operational goals and strategic initiatives.
- Performs accurate and efficient data entry of customer and transactional information as required in the sports wagering system, casino management system, Title 31 software, and cash advance/check cashing system.
- Learns and follows all federal and state regulations as well as departmental standard operating procedures and company policies; including, but not limited to, IGC policies and Title 31/BSA/AML
- Issues complimentaries to the casino outlets and redeems marketing vouchers based on tracked play and internal comping guidelines. (No redemption for cash, only merchandise)
- Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Indiana Gaming Commission Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program.
- Keeps areas clean, secure, and well maintained.
- Knowledgeable of the Indiana Gaming regulations as well as the company's internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Must be able to work in an environment with secondhand smoke, loud noises, and large crowds.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolong periods of time (7+ hours).
- Always follow the Company Service Standards model.
- Must be available for regularly scheduled work and be able to work a variety of hours, holidays, and weekends.
- Other duties may be assigned at any time.
