Job Description The Senior Accountant participates in the month-end close process in a Corporate Accounting setting, where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. The successful Senior Accountant will exhibit excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. This position requires independent initiative and judgment to improve accounting processes, procedures, and financial reporting. Responsibilities Conduct month-end close processes related to corporate payroll allocations and journal entries. Prepare monthly variance analysis for payroll and incentive accounts. Record and analyze allocation of management and marketing fees to properties. Prepare all accounting entries and financial information for Omni and BSCH Gift Card companies. Analyze gift card reserves for completeness and correctness. Prepare budget, analysis, and related reporting for corporate payroll and fee revenue. Other various accounting tasks as assigned. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, understanding the flow of transactions recorded and applying professional judgment to make any necessary corrections to the general ledger. Work closely with management to identify process improvement needs and implement recommendations. Support the management financial reporting process and special projects as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Minimum of 3 years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified. Candidate must be deadline-focused, organized, detail-oriented, a self-starter, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills. Advanced Excel skills and strong overall PC proficiency are a must. Ability to work independently and execute sound judgment are a must.
