We have 4 locations across Texas: Houston, The Woodlands, Austin and San Antonio.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Administrator you will oversee and manage the administrative aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of construction processes and documentation.

Responsibilities:

•Coordinate and manage all administrative tasks related to construction projects, including documentation, retention, and compliance with a strong pro-active approach and commitment to follow through.

•Serve as the primary point of contact between project managers, contractors, clients, and other key personnel, as needed.

•Prepare, review, and distribute project documentation such as contracts, pay estimates, change orders, and progress reports.

•Ensure relevant regulations are documents and followed by all.

•Confirm all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.

•Monitor project schedules and budgets, identifying potential issues and assisting in the development of solutions.

•Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring all parties are informed of project status and updates.

•Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.

•Coordinate all parties involved for regular site visits to monitor progress, verify compliance with plans and specifications, and address any issues that arise.

•Support the project team in creating Invitations to Bid, coordinate Pre-Bid meetings, prepare meeting documents.

•Assist in the preparation of project closeout documents, including final reports and warranties.

•Track/Maintain progress of all steps in construction process.

•Create monthly meeting report for District Engineers to convey necessity of project in all relevant documents to present at board meetings.

•Assist in other construction related projects upon request.

Requirements

•Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction administration or a related role within the civil engineering field, OR minimum of 5 years' experience assisting with projects.

•Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and industry standards.

•Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

•Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Procore, CivCast, Bluebeam or similar platforms.

•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

•Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

•Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction regulations and codes as it pertains to contracts.

•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, preferred.
