The Opportunity: As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will identify, analyze, and document problems with software applications following an established QA methodology.
How your role contributes to the success of Vegas.com:
Evaluates and tests new software applications according to business and functional requirements
Perform API level testing, system testing, black box functional testing, UI testing, and white box testing.
Applies test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and certification of products.
Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
Prepares and presents technical and program information to team members and management.
Coordinate the activities of QA teams in the development of test plans and test cases to meet individual project objectives.

30 days in

Develop basic understanding of applications, tech stack, and development process.

Enhance our approaches, methods, or technologies to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies.
Apply technical learnings that align with the product roadmap to overall department and organizational goals that drive company initiatives forward.
Develop and lead initiatives for your stakeholders that enhance process, drive innovation, and build on vegas.com values.
Build, maintain, and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
180 days in
Design and implement process improvements that positively impacts the team.
Mentor others, playing an active role in elevating the skill sets of those you work with.
Guide the team's work so that it fits into the larger team and engineering group objectives.
Produce and deliver clean, correct code that drives team and company tech goals forward.
Improve efficiency in core systems and applications managed by the team and contribute to engineering group objectives.
What Youll Bring:
5+ years prior experience in Quality Assurance, experience leading/mentoring is preferred.
Experience with implementing and auditing test methodology and QA standards.
Working knowledge of the Software Development Life cycle and QAs role in it.
Solid Understanding of SQL Server and Mongo databases.
Working experience with XML testing technologies.
Java coding experience highly desirable.
Selenium based automation experience preferred.
