Full job description

FlightWorks is looking for a Network Administrator to support its day-to-day IT operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and supporting internal networks to ensure secure and stable operations. Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within general network administration. Additionally, they will play a proactive role in recommending upgrades, patches, new applications, and equipment. The Network Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans, as well as providing technical support and guidance to users. This role requires relying on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Work under general supervision and will take on Projects Lead to various IT initiatives. Engineers and maintains all systems, security, and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Ensure the stable, and consistent operation of all facets of IT infrastructure including telecom equipment.
  • Ensure the secure operations of the endpoints, systems and Network.
  • Proactively perform system maintenance, development, and configuration improvements to ensure maximum network up time and secure, stable and consistent operation.
  • Configures, manages, and maintains a disaster recovery plan.
  • Develop methods and suggest improvements to enhance efficiencies in managing the FlightWorks infrastructure and business processes.
  • Leads or assists in projects as assigned by management.
  • Assists End-users with desktop support issues and provides timely and professional resolutions.
  • Consistency Documenting/Updating the IT environment and IT policies.
  • Attend various industry conferences and exhibitions, aviation and information technology related to stay abreast of technology developments
In addition, the candidate should be customer service-oriented, a team player and have strong interpersonal skills that facilitate communication with clients, co-workers, and supervisors. Problem solver that is comfortable in dynamic, fluid environments is highly desired. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a help desk or technical support environment or equivalent consulting experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in general network administration or Systems Administration.
  • Must possess Microsoft 365 (including Exchange online, SharePoint, One drive and TEAMS) experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience VMWare vSphere knowledge including troubleshooting, configuration and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of Cybersecurity principles.
  • Vulnerability Management and Data protection experience.
  • Knowledge of Windows server OS and administration principles.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Knowledge of networking, firewalls, web server configurations and backup software.
  • Experience in a self-directed work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to research and resolve problems using a variety of resources and tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve issues and answer questions.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Standard Business Hours, On-call, and additional hours as necessary.
