We are seeking an energetic and experienced client care coordinator for a busy and fast-growing, multi-clinician, psychotherapy practice.The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of highly responsible administrative, medical billing, and patient-care experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.ResponsibilitiesThis position is perfect for a social work, counseling, or psychology student. Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments and procedures. Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtaining any missing information. Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing. Maintain and facilitate patient scheduling. General office management tasks, including routing of phone calls to clinicians, sorting mail, keeping up office supplies and equipment Other duties deemed necessary by the office manager Requirements Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments, including communicating with patients and family members of diverse ages and backgrounds. Must be available on weeknights and Saturdays. A calm manner and patience working with either patients or insurers during this process. Knowledge of insurance guidelines, including HMO/PPO, Medicare, and other payer requirements and systems. Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers to resolve issues. Ability to work well in a team environment.
