We look forward to working with you.Job OverviewThe Quality Control Lab Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Analytical and Micro Laboratories while ensuring regulatory compliance.Essential Functions•Supports and serve as the primary backup to the Director of Quality Control.Professionally develops supervisor(s) and laboratory staff to maximize individual and overall performance.Creates systems/procedures for recording, monitoring, and maintaining quality results to ensure QC laboratory performance is kept in accordance with cGMP and company procedures.Provides technical expertise for manufacturing deviations e.g. OOS investigations, by working in concert with manufacturing and quality assurance. This includes deviation documentation, investigational reports, change control, CAPAs etc.Writes, reviews and approves documentation e.g. technical reports, standard operating procedures, laboratory protocolsServes as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the creation of both raw material and finished product specificationsContributes to completing project milestones, organizing work to meet project deadlines, and communicating progress on scheduled projectsContributes to team building, training, continuous improvement, and problem-solving initiativesAssists in serving as a technical advisor for laboratory staff.Ensures compliance with testing techniques and accuracy of all records and documentation in the laboratoryEnsures OOS events are adequately investigated and resolved in a timely manner.Assists in managing the stability program for all applicable products.All other duties as assigned.Willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends as requested by management.Education: •BS degree or higher in Chemistry or related field or equivalent experience.Experience: •Minimum 5 years of experience in cGMP environment Drugs, Cosmetics, or Dietary Supplements.•Supervisory experience.•Experience in supervising/ managing a cGMP laboratoryKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:•Ability to manage and motivate technical personnel. •Team development, motivational and leadership skills•Excellent bench skills•Excellent organizational skills•Strong analytical and micro lab knowledge•Knowledge of the following analytical methods/ equipment: GC, HPLC, LC-MS/MS, KF, ICP-MS, UV/Vis Spectrometry, FTIR•Writing skills (reports, SOP's, protocols, etc.)•cGMP / GLP background is required•Computer skills to include full competence with MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Access•Strong communication skills
