We are looking for a candidate who has 5-6 years of experience in public relations and has managed media relations accounts, specifically for institutional asset managers and across asset classes, including alternatives. The right person for this position is a media hound, an eloquent communicator, both written and verbally, with excellent time-management skills and attention to detail. You will be overseeing day-to-day account activities and are responsible for the overall media strategy and execution in collaboration with the rest of the team. The Account Manager also has an important role in the development and execution of M&Co's global corporate initiatives.?

What You Will Be Doing?

Work includes but is not limited to developing PR strategies and originating and managing, with your colleagues, high-profile media opportunities to achieve impactful coverage. You will also help create thought leadership architectures, write bylines, conceptualize, draft, and issue press releases, and oversee results reports. You will play a key role in providing clients strategic advice and working closely with spokespeople.?

Our Account Managers also liaise with the firms Global Management Team where we work together on developing new business, improving the firms performance, and advancing our global growth.?

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 5-6 years working with media who cover institutional asset managers across asset classes, including alternatives
  • Established media relationships and able to show specific coverage results obtained?
  • Experience managing a team focused on achieving media relations?
  • Proven experience helping conceptualize, develop and place byliners and op-eds
  • Demonstrated participation in helping market your organization and work on new business development
  • Ability to write in a clear, concise, and creative style?
  • Strong presentation and verbal communications skills?
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail?
  • Problem-solver with a client-service-oriented mindset?
  • Possesses strong multi-cultural awareness?
  • Bachelors degree?

  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Develop and manage client materials, including briefings, agendas, tactical calendars, and strong angles for pitches.
  • Ability to manage multiple colleagues at junior levels
  • Broadcast experience is a plus
