Job Description:

The Omni Richmond Hotel is hiring for a reliable and skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team. This individual will be maintaining the general condition of the property with regards to all aspects of basic electrical, carpentry, plumbing, mechanical equipment.

Full Time & Part Time

Starting Pay: $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

General job duties include, but not limited to...

  • Performing assigned preventive maintenance tasks
  • Responding to and completing management, staff, and guest maintenance requests accurately with a sense of urgency
  • Maintaining tools and maintenance equipment to ensure they are in good working order; keeping maintenance room in neat condition
  • Performing basic electrical, HVAC, and plumbing repairs
  • Performing manual repairs, such as painting, dry wall, installing applicances and fixtures
  • Maintaining all maintenance logs, work orders, and any other paperwork as needed
  • Assisting in the preparation of vacant hotel rooms for new guests, including carpentry work and other necessary repairs and improvements
  • Demonstrating understanding of and compliance with all safety, environmental, emergency and company policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor and Chief Engineer

  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess general maintenance knowledge, as well as plumbing, HVAC, and electrical
  • Maintenance experience: 1 year (required); Hotel or apartment maintenance experience preferred
  • Have good communication skills, time-management skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools (ladders, genie-lift, etc.)
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as the ability to lift 50lbs or more.
