Our client, a global Investment Management firm, is looking for an AVP, Compensation Analyst to join their HR team.
This role is hybrid in Los Angeles, CA (3 days onsite per week).
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and manage compensation plans that are fair, competitive, aligned with organizational strategies, and compliant with company direction, local laws, pay equity, and other statutory requirements.
Collaborate with the Head of Compensation to execute annual compensation processes, including compensation program design, budgeting, implementation of new programs, and handling ad-hoc requests.
Manage the annual year-end compensation planning process, partnering with HR business partners and other colleagues to facilitate recommendations and pay actions.
Conduct benchmarking analyses using external market surveys, collaborating with external providers and consultants on internal data submissions.
Maintain and enhance the compensation system for mid-year and year-end compensation cycles.
Analyze, compile, and synthesize large amounts of compensation data for historical analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
Partner with the Talent team to develop communications related to annual compensation planning, compensation analyses, and related initiatives.
Provide support and advice on compensation-related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting, and top talent retention.
Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an internal compensation-related role or compensation consulting.
Results-driven and detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and consultancy skills.
Ability to draw conclusions, themes, and trends from data analysis and communicate results effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience making data-driven decisions, including the ability to analyze and synthesize complex data sets to present compelling stories or themes.
Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment with a high level of dedication and commitment to quality work products.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work under time constraints, meeting deadlines and timelines.
Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate strong partnerships with HR partners and colleagues.
Analytical experience preferred (e.g., numerical research, data analysis, Excel modeling).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.
Working knowledge of Workday and/or Beqom software platforms is a plus.
