As the Retail Sales Associate PT, you will be a part of impacting people across the world through the opportunity described below:JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARYThe Retail Sales Associate will work to provide customers with fast and friendly service while ensuring accuracy on all sales transactions. They will be responsible for customer checkout, store upkeep, re-stocking, and merchandising. This position reports directly to the Retail Sales Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION Provide an exceptional level of customer service when greeting and servicing customers Have a strong product knowledge to be able to answer customer questions effectively Operate and accurately balance a cash register Assist in cleaning and organizing the bookstore on a regular basis Replenish stock and remerchandise floor displays upon request Receive and count shipments if needed Adhere to all bookstore processes and procedures Other related duties as assigned MINISTERIAL DUTIESAs an Employee of Lakewood Church, you are a part of an over 60-year legacy of faith. As a part of the Lakewood team, you are a key part of our mission in taking the Hope found in Jesus to the world. This means that as part of your job responsibilities, you are considered a spiritual leader in the Church. You are responsible for communicating the Church's beliefs and our mission to our congregants, to maintain a lifestyle consistent with the Scriptures and are required to belong to the Church as part of our faith community. This will also include: Regular attendance at Church services and classes, Serving as a Prayer Partner or as a volunteer in any ministry of the Church, and Serving our community through local outreaches from time to time when needed by the Church QUALIFICATIONS Uncompromised commitment to Lakewood Church's vision, values, and core beliefs Professional appearance and conduct Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly disposition Must be reliable and timely Must be willing to engage with customers Should have good attention to detail Must be able to work on Sunday Willingness to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed Ability to lift up to 25 poundsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma required Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred
