Primary Responsibilities:
The Custodian reports to the Head Custodian. They are responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and disinfecting all facility areas.

Working Conditions:
The Sharon Center School serves students in grades PreK-8. All employees work as a team in a respectful, caring environment. The school has a positive, welcoming tone, and a candidate must be friendly, flexible, and helpful toward all co-workers and community members in the building.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean all areas of the building: classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, offices, stairways, and restrooms.
  • Remove trash.
  • Set up and tear down chairs, tables, and equipment for meetings and assemblies.
  • Use a snow blower and shovels to remove snow from entrances and sidewalks.
Hours/Days:
8 hours/day (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) - 12 month position

Salary:
$20.00 - $23.50 / hour
Salary depends on experience

Pension (after one year of employment)

Mental/Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work in poor weather, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Stand and walk for along periods of time.
  • Bend, twist, and kneel.
  • Able to lift 25 - 50 lbs.
