JOB OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the Seafood Market Manager, provides immediate assistance to crafts arriving/departing the dock and performs a range of customer service duties in a safe, courteous, efficient, and professional manner. The Deckhand/attendant is mainly responsible for the operations associated with the boating customers/fishmongers.
Reports to: Seafood Market Manager, with a dotted line to General Manager and the Director of Operations

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

The Guest
•Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any requests from vessels, including transport of patrons and baggage to and from dockside.
•Addressing and greeting guests, answering questions in a friendly manner, proactively offering assistance, and
providing accurate and timely information.
•Assist in the loading and unloading of watercraft (fish to the market, guests bringing supplies to the boat, etc.)
•Routinely operate watercraft, should a guest need assistance docking.
•Build a clientele database for future use, using a logbook. Log all crafts parked on the dock with owners name, email, and phone number
•Be proactive in achieving great results by furthering your knowledge of products offered in the market and restaurants,
offering ideas and suggestions to the LS team.
•Run market items to boating clientele

The Property
•Demonstrate the ability to be organized, to work independently, and with the team to provide the highest quality experience, all while maintaining the overall appearance of the dock area.
•Carry out routine cleaning duties of the dock/marina area that meet established quality standards for all Love Street operations.
•Contribute to a healthy, safe, clean, and fun work environment.
•Protect and regulate guest movement though out the Riverwalk and dock areas, per Rules and Regulations of Love Street

The Bottom Line
•Observe all store rules and Company policies, shift operating hours at all times as scheduled or assigned by Store Manager.
•Ensure every craft/ product is correctly handled.
•Always be guest facing to protect the dock/marina from accidents/incidents.
•Responsible for enforcing rules, regulations of marine area.

•Must be very comfortable in and around water.
•Know about products used throughout the properties to provide and assist guests in deciding where they would like to dine
•Highly detailed oriented & ability to prioritize
•Must have valid Florida driver's license
•Must be willing to work weekends & holidays
•A LOVE of all things nautical & seafood-related.
•Ability to take the initiative and work independently
•Be a team player, goal-oriented
•Excellent time management
•Ability to perform in an intense, fast-paced environment
