OVERVIEWWe are looking for friendly and professional folx with a minimum of 2 years of experience, to be the face of Public House. Public House is a local watering hole that is passionate about great cocktails, delicious food, and genuine hospitality. We are currently hiring all front of house positions to be a part of our opening team. This job Posting expires on August 15th, 2024.SALARY + HOURS EXPECTATIONS$20- $40/ HR30-40 hours weeklyWeekday and weekend availability (all PM) requiredBartenderMix and serve drinks.Prep for bar service (cutting garnishes, cleaning, general bar setup)BOH Bar prep (batching, following prep recipes)Engage with customers, offer a friendly and memorable experience.Keep the bar area clean and stocked.Use POS system efficientlyBe part of the heart and soul of our bar's atmosphere.HostWelcome guests with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor.Manage take out orders and to-go orders.Briefly explain our service model to new and returning guestsCheck IDs; be able to differentiate between valid ID vs invalid IDEnsure guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from the moment they walk in.Be the first point of contact, setting the tone.BarbackSupport bartenders by keeping the bar stocked and clean throughout the entire service.Assist with set-up and basic prep tasks to keep the bar running smoothly.Work in tandem with the food runner to keep bar, patio, and floor areas clear of dirty glassware and dishes.Be an essential part of the behind-the-scenes magic.A great starting point for those looking to grow in the hospitality industry.RunnerProvide friendly and excellent service to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable experience.Take orders, serve food and drinks, handle transactions, clear tables.Be knowledgeable about our menu and offer recommendations.Deliver a high level of hospitality and care to every guest.RESPONSIBILITIES + ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSCarry out all tasks with an attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety while maintaining an enjoyable and clean environment for guests and team.Work efficiently and maintain a reasonable pace of service at all times.Engage with all guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner.Work to uphold and enforce all necessary  legal statutes at all times.Serve safely and appropriately any alcohol by monitoring intake and communicating with staff and management when there are issues or needs.Fill in for absent staff as needed, assist with special events as needed.Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.Ability to honor your schedule, show up on time and clock in and out, put in requests for time off with appropriate notice.Ability to fluently work the POS system, as well as responsibly and accurately handle cash payments.Must be able to follow written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as nonverbal communications in a fast paced environment. Ability to work independently and efficiently with attention to detail.Previous cocktail and bartending experience strongly preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDSAbility to handle physical workload, including bending, stooping, and lifting for up to 75% of your scheduled shift.Ability to stand for 100% of your scheduled shift.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, maneuver in narrow hallways, up and down small stairways and behind the bar. WORK ENVIRONMENTPhysically strenuous, standing, lifting, kneeling, stooping, walking and stair climbing throughout the entire shift. Loud environment with low lighting in some areas and bright lights in others. No driving required.Why work with us...Urban Cowboy Hotels is recognized as one of the leading design hotels in the world, with locations in Brooklyn, Nashville, The Catskills, and Denver.
