The Program Supervisor is responsible for managing the overall day to day operation of the THP-NMD housing program, including recruitment, onboarding, intake, retention, supervision of THP-NMD staff program development, training, coach, lead and supervise case management, ensure the adherence of compliance policies and overall operations within the MBK THP-NMD Program.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide on-going supervision to THP-NMD Case Managers, Housing Specialist, and other supportive staff by providing effective feedback and guidance.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community partners including County Social Work and Probation staff and supervisors.

Provide consistent, effective and improvement coaching and support, develop staff professional development plans, conduct quarterly, annual performance evaluation plans and assist in the interviewing process.

Effectively manage team and oversee day to day operations to ensure baseline assessments and documentation are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Administer all scheduling of employees, maintain adequate ratios of staff to youth and ensure to have proper staff working at all times.

Maintain budgetary responsibilities and management within approved guidelines. Maintain census to meet budget projections.

Attend monthly, quarterly, and yearly collaborative meetings with DFCS, County, any support team, audit and CFT meetings including all team meetings and effectively implementing findings and learnings.

Ensure that all employees complete initial (40 hrs) and continuing (20 hrs/yr) education requirements and all compliance trainings quarterly and yearly trainings in a timely manner

Execute and maintain responsibility of monthly, quarterly reviews and completion of county and state reporting’s, outcome metrics, program development and training, interventions to support meeting all outcomes.

Oversee and effectively conduct weekly one on ones with case managers, conduct weekly/monthly meetings with staff to review overall business state of being, youth progress, updates and review and discuss overall case manager performance while providing support to further develop their strengths and providing coaching on areas of opportunity.

Responsible for reviewing and approving all documentation including but not limited to care and services plans, assessments, and progress notes, TILPs, CFT meetings, NSPs, Housing Plans, Housing Inspections, all Crisis Incident Reports (CIR/SIR) written by staff within 24 hrs. of occurrence and ensure proper submission into ETO system database and state reporting and send notification with proper documentation to CCL and CFT support team and Placement Workers

Ensure all staff are meeting client documentation expectations and deadlines on a daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes. Ensure quality of work, accuracy, and timeliness of all aspects of the participants records

Oversee and assist in the youth’s intake and onboarding process and documentation, conduct initial assessments, treatment and service plan, and coordinate and manage youth moving arrangements from beginning to end.

Cultivate a strong relationship with the Program Director, Program Coordinator, Executive Director and all management team to provide leadership to the organization’s programs guidelines and values.

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Full-time management position and the need to work a flexible schedule with some evenings and weekends

When understaffed assume half a caseload in THP-NMD (and perform all case management duties for assigned youth

Open availability for all Crisis Intervention support

Develop, maintain, and grow relationships with County Social Services, police departments, community CBO’s and other potential partners for placement, referrals and coordination of services

Keep census at full capacity

Other program duties may be assigned by the Program Director and Program Coordinator

JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: Master’s Degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or related field required

EXPERIENCE: Must have THP-NMD experience. Minimum of 3 years of full-time social work or case management experience, preferably with child welfare services and preferred some supervisor or management experience. Strong knowledge of adolescent care and development, community resources, and case management skills and all required THP-NMD-CCL state and county reporting.

SKILLS:

Must be an intuitive leader that is both strong and compassionate and can lead by example. Must be an effective communicator with strong leadership skills and possess the ability to create and maintain team synergy. The supervisor must work well under stressful and sometimes complex situations and be able to think on the spot to effectively resolve sensitive issues. The supervisor must be both reliable and dependable and willing to go the extra mile above and beyond the minimum required standards.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

TRANSPORTATION : Must have a valid CA Driver’s License andhave a good driving record, reliable transportation to/from work locations, youth meeting locations.

WORKING CONDITIONS: General business/office environment, in the field. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion, bend, sit and stand for prolonged periods of time. Some weekend/holiday work may be required.

Must pass screening of Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearances from the Department of Justice. Pass drug screening and clearance. Must maintain active First Aid/ CPR certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
