Position Overview:

As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing credit risk within our lending portfolio. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth credit analyses, evaluating loan applications, and recommending appropriate credit decisions. Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive credit analyses of loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and the associated risks.
Evaluate financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documentation to determine the financial health of applicants and their ability to repay debt.
Prepare detailed credit memorandums summarizing key findings and recommendations for credit approval or denial.
Collaborate with lending officers and other stakeholders to structure credit facilities and negotiate terms that meet both the needs of the borrower and the risk appetite of the institution.
Monitor and manage credit exposures within assigned portfolios, identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory developments, and industry best practices related to credit risk management.
Provide guidance and support to junior credit analysts, fostering their professional development and growth.
Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in credit analysis within the financial services industry.
Strong understanding of credit risk principles, financial analysis techniques, and lending regulations.
Proficiency in interpreting financial statements, cash flow analysis, and credit scoring models.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
Professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Credit Risk Analyst (CCRA) preferred.
