Grinding Coordinator

Royal Canin is looking for a Grinding Coordinator to join our exciting pet food business at one of our manufacturing plants located in Fremont,NE. The Grinding Coordinator has accountability for the process of a production area in Grinding. The role is responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement by establishing work standards and providing coaching and feedback.

They have thorough technical understanding and knowledge of Operational Excellence Fundamentals and the Factory Mars Operating System (MSE/FMOS) and process control for their lines.This role is also critical in the implementation of Mars Supply Excellence (TPM) in the role of AM Pillar lead.

Operational Lead for their Area

• Role models and supports improvements in Safety, Quality, and Performance
• Works with broader team to ensure that all Area, Line, and factory metrics are achieved.
• Escalation point to resolve issues for Grinding
• Leads Root Cause and Corrective Actions investigations for their area and implement improvements/systems to ensure issues are not repeated
• Responsible for completion of Basic Problem Solving and CAPAs
• Standardization of equipment setup and Operation in their area and across all shifts
• Expert in equipment setup
• Key Member of the Area Triad

Owns all Daily Management Systems (DMSs) execution and key leader in implementation of Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) Program

• Autonomous Maintenance Lead (incl Cleaning - Inspect - Lubricate (CIL) program)
• Participates in the Daily Area FMOS connection point meetings (CP2)
• Champions MSE activities and objectives for their respective area
• Trains and coaches' team on Transition DMS. Ensures Transition improvement targets are achieved

Leads Continuous Improvement

• Develops the Line Master/90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability
• Executes monthly review accountability of Area Master Plans and results. Anticipates change and develops plans to effectively implement changes
• Develops the Area Loss Analysis and drives its elimination for their area
• Analyzes line data to identify and prioritize loss elimination opportunities.
• Leads process definition to identify transition targets and document standards.
• Develops control strategies to enable operators to respond to situations.

Responsible for

• Identifying and eliminating upset conditions in the area
• Startup and shutdown activities
• Accountable for sanitation activities (deep dive/breaks)
• KPI's -TRS/NQC
• System/Equipment upgrades.

Training and Development

• Provides on the floor coaching of team leads and team members across all shifts.
• Provides Skill Development/Technical Mastery/Coaching and Training
• Ensures proper execution of On-the-Job Training and operating procedures.
• Provide SOP's (i.e.., changeovers, LOTO, Sanitation) and Instruction Manuals related to equipment for operators and train as required.
• Evaluation and validation of operators in their area (i.e., step-up cards)
