This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Technical Center three times per week, at minimum. The Role -

You will be responsible for sourcing Technology purchases (Software, Software as a Service, Infrastructure) on a regional and global basis. Primary responsibility is to develop, negotiate and implement sourcing strategies by collaborating with key stakeholders on engineering, technology requirements, IT, security and legal, which then requires preparing and completing sourcing recommendations to various levels of management. What You’ll Do (Responsibilities) Understand the Automotive, Software, IT industry and the long-term direction GM software is headed.

Determine viable suppliers for technology requirements.

Develop global commodity strategies

Develop and manage suppliers under the guidance of Quality, Service, Technology, and Price strategies. This includes sound understanding of deadlines, required lead times, supplier contracts and application types.

Active participation with key stakeholders, including engineering, IT, the business stakeholder, Legal, and Security.

Manage annual renewal cadence and deadlines.

Adheres to Corporate purchasing and accounting policies and procedures.

Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package.

Utilize Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Sourcing Process to manage Sourcing packages.

Utilize Global Purchasing and Supply Chain Sourcing Process (Request for Quotation, Analysis of Quotation, Source Selection) to establish a capable/competitive supply base.

Develop benchmarking for each sourcing package.

Participate in supplier KPI reviews
