Student Intern

At The N&D® Group, we have been covering local homeowners, drivers, and businesses with personalized insurance policies since 1825. As a locally grown insurance company, we know the region, know the risks, and know the right coverage.

Under the supervision of their manager, the Intern will learn everything there is to know on our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how your department and our organization runs, and can anticipate gaining valuable insight to help you in your future career.

Learning Objectives and Responsibilities

• Understanding Claim Workflow System
• Contacting carriers for claim information
• Accessing Databases to gather claim information
• Accessing RMV to obtain subrogation information
• Issuing expense checks to vendors
• Issuing rental payments

• Learn MA Auto Coverage
• Acquire claim investigation techniques
• Develop negotiation skills

• High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Energetic and willing to be part of the team
