Job Description: A Quality Assurance Engineer at The Lee Company is broadly responsible for activities that support the Quality Management System and related Quality Objectives. A QAE at The Lee Company utilizes their diversified skillset to support the Quality Management System while driving Continuous Improvement. The specific role will have an emphasis on Supplier Quality.

Qualifications: B.S./A.S. degree in Engineering or similar discipline with at least three years related experience in quality control/quality assurance/manufacturing. Quality systems knowledge including ISO9001/AS9100/PPAPs Knowledge of gage calibration, SPC, geometric tolerancing, inspection methods, MRB, corrective action resolution, first article inspection and others. Experience with machining and/or other manufacturing operations and inspection

Key Responsibilities: Primary supplier contact for quality-related concerns Supports Purchasing and Planning with supplier delivery concerns Conducts initial evaluation of new suppliers Conducts periodic supplier evaluations When necessary conducts audits/evaluations at suppliers (up to 10% to 15% travel) Creates, monitors and shares supplier “scorecards” Maintains and reports monthly, annually, quarterly supplier performance metrics Reviews and approves FAIR inspection results Maintains supplier regulatory database (Reach, RoHS, CM, etc.) Approves all supplier-related NCMRs Maintains approval status of all suppliers Evaluates opportunities to optimize number of suppliers
