Toyota's Greensboro, North Carolina Battery Plant Manufacturing Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Control General Stores Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the General Stores operations for TBMNC. Reporting to the Production Control Senior Manager, the person in this role will support the Production Control department's objective to ensure the integrity of TBMNC's supply chain at all times and under all conditions.
What you'll be doing
General Stores oversight and strategy development.
Ordering strategy and inventory management of Direct Raw Materials, Chemicals, Consumables, and Spare Parts.
Experience with Hazmat material management, logistics, and storage.
Meeting or exceeding Hoshin targets for PC/TBMNC.
Ensure the right part is delivered at the right time while effectively managing inventory levels.
Contingency planning and crisis management.
Supplier collaboration and management.
Problem-solving issues that have the potential to impact successful project or launch execution.
Leading cross-functional collaboration to countermeasure and yokoten solutions to future projects to prevent recurrence.
Coordination of all internal and external supply chain stakeholders.
ECI coordination and production reporting.
Coaching and team member development.
Support ideal internal logistics goals through analysis (inventory management, sleep time, overflow, frequency, etc.)
Supplier issues (short-shipping, order tracking, pipeline visibility, etc.)
Ability to effectively communicate and work with many individuals and entities at any given time.
Ensure Safety, Quality, Cost, Production, Environmental, and Human Development of the team.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or 5+ years applicable experience.
Direct functional experience in Direct Raw Materials, Chemical, Consumable, and/or Spare Parts ordering processes and systems (+3 years).
Direct functional experience in Warehouse Management (+1 years).
Project planning & schedule management experience (+2 years).
Inventory management experience (+3 years).
Problem-solving and process improvement experience (+2 years).
Added bonus if you have
SAP and/or eMDM (or other BOM management system) experience.
Toyota Supplier Management.
Demonstrated experience in negotiation, consensus building, and a strong ability to prioritize resources while exceeding customer expectations.
Experience using KPIs for goal setting and process management.
Problem-solving complete through panel (TBP).
Hazmat material management.
