Position Overview: Are you ready to bring your accounting expertise to the world of real estate? We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Property Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations in Brookline, MA. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of properties, collaborate with a dynamic team, and make a meaningful impact on our business and the communities we serve.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for a portfolio of properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities for properties.
  • Support audits and compliance efforts to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive process improvements and efficiency gains to optimize financial performance and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
