Job Description Job Description Transportation Coordinator 2 - DispatchPay Rate - $18.00/hour to startLocation - EllsworthThis position is our primary contact for all Driver calls coming into the Transportation Department. This position coordinates the most efficient means of transportation for clients. Schedules and/or dispatches trips to volunteers and agency drivers. Inputs data in the computer.GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:Will work with the public and can communicate effectively with clients and staffMust have experience with computer programs including Microsoft wordExcellent internal and external customer service skillsBecome knowledgeable on all funding sources in transportation and the requirements of each oneMust be able to communicate effectively internally and externallyMust be effective with Multitasking and organizingMust be an effective member of the teamMust Be knowledgeable of both Hancock & Washington CountyServes as a resource for Agency & Volunteer driversAbility to read mapsMust have office experienceAbility to comprehend rules and proceduresExcellent verbal communicationProven attention to detailQUALIFICATIONS NEEDED FOR POSITION :Experience and Skill Requirements: The following requirements and skills are considered essential:3-5 years experience as a Dispatcher or a related function.Education/Skill Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent in skills and experience.Must be able to pass a background check.FTA Drug and Alcohol Program Participant.
