**JOB SUMMARY:**

Oversee day-to-day customer service and support personnel for the Alarm & Detection Department.

**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**

* Act as the Fire Alarm Leader, overseeing the team, operations, business development and growth

* Identify potential clients and complete appropriate research on the prospective client's business and equipment needs

* Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients, focusing on rebranding Beach Lake Sprinkler as a full-service fire protection provider, including fire alarm

* Develop relationships with A&E firms, focusing on rebranding Beach Lake Sprinkler as a full-service fire protection provider, including fire alarm

* Become a subject matter expert on our business offerings, processes and operations

* Become a subject matter expert on fire alarm product lines through collaborating with other Davis-Ulmer branches, learning portals, sales and product training

* Sales duties will include service, repair, upgrade, and design-build opportunities with a future focus on plan and spec sales

* Key focus is finding and developing key client relation for owner negotiated sales

* Understand current sales, management and field teams' strengths and areas for improvement; create and maintain development plans for each member of the team

* Collaborate with all Davis-Ulmer companies on business growth and sales strategies

* Participate in the Davis-Ulmer Fire Alarm Community as a leader in the space working to support outside locations

* Seek and hire talent as needed for growth

* Focus on building self-sustain business

* Take part in the Learning and Development opportunities within Beach Lake Sprinkler/Davis-Ulmer/APi Group

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred

* Prior business experience, as well as at least 5 years of industry experience is required

* Good communication skills, both oral and written, when working with all levels of management and employees, clients, external vendors and other business associates. Clearly communicates direction and information. Must have strong interpersonal skills.

* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of the organization.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:**

NFPA certification a plus

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Directly supervises the Alarm & Detection division employees working in the office and in the field

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT:**

* Mostly office work, shop work, and on-the-job work with moderate noise, involving standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling and crouching on a daily basis

* Some work will be conducted in wet or humid conditions, working near moving parts, and around fumes

* Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day
