Our team values a work-life balance. Schedule is primarily 4 10's, and dayshift. There will be an every 3 rd weekend responsibility. In this role, the APC will primarily coordinate and manage the outpatient cardiac surgery service in conjunction with attending surgeons. This is a hybrid role with primarily outpatient, but inpatient responsibilities as well. Responsibilities (as approved by the Medical Staff Board ): Primarily responsible for coordination and management of Cardiac Surgery Clinic - care related to outpatients, pre and postoperative heart surgery Responsible for inpatient care related to pre and postoperative heart surgery patients in the CCU and Telemetry unit as defined by surgical attending. Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic bedside procedures Assure clear and concise transfer of clinical information between nurses, clinical staff and physicians Assist in data collecting of information related to any research trials within the department of Cardiothoracic Maintaining communication with other clinical service Physical Demands : Physical Requirements: Walking, standing Visual Requirements: Ability to read medical charts Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear normal conversations Working Conditions: Routine activities involved in patient clinical care Qualifications NCCPA certification or National Certification as Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Required 1 - 2 years' experience required, preferably in CCU/Cardiac Surgery setting Pennsylvania State license for physician assistant or CRNP Conditions of EmploymentCovid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
