Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team and support school districts across Illinois. As a School Physical Therapist, you will play a crucial role in developing, recovering, or maintaining the physical mobility and functional skills of students with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. You will provide effective, client-centered services to enable students to participate in school activities confidently and independently and daily life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, balance, coordination, and physical function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and in collaboration with the student's educational team and family.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and use of assistive devices.
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other related service providers to integrate therapy goals into students' educational programs and classroom activities.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed, maintaining accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Educate and empower students, families, and school staff regarding strategies for promoting physical development, mobility, and independence within the school setting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings, to develop and review Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
