Come Join Our Growing Team We are looking for an Automation Specialist in support of our US Labs and Cell Gene Therapy services. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing automation tools and software solutions within US Lab Services and CGT, acting as a central resource to strengthen services across US sites. Provides technical and strategic input for selection and implementation of automation system to site leadership. Lead for site specific and integrated (across site) automation processes to maximize efficiencies and revenue capacity. What The Job Entails: Understands and conforms to methods, and protocols applicable to assigned tasks. Designs and executes experiments with minimal supervision. Maintains existing liquid handling workstations through preventative maintenance. Prioritize, evaluate, and respond to incoming support requests on designated instruments. Act as primary point of contact for all instrument service issues. Assists in implementing new scripts/methods through developmental testing. Trains new hires in executing scripts/methods. Leads preparation and implementation of SOPs, quality systems and new equipment. Ensure that all necessary preventative maintenance and calibrations are performed within required schedule. Attend vendor external and internal technical training for instrument specific repairs and maintenance. Proactively monitor, review and analyze lab and equipment performance, identifies longer-term solutions and/or options. Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents before instrument release, lead development and execution of critical tests. Always complies with the Laboratory Safety Policy. Always complies with company Standard Operating Procedures unless specifically defined and approved in the study-specific assay validation or sample analysis plan. Requirements: Master of Science in relevant field + at least 5 years relevant experience; OR Bachelor of Science in relevant field + at least 8 years relevant experience. Knowledge of automation platforms such as Hamilton and Watson laboratory informatics systems Experience working in a bioanalytical laboratory within CRO Knowledge GLP and GCP guidelines applicable to electronic systems
