As an intern at FORVIS, you will gain valuable experience that may help you decide whether you want a strong stable admin career or valuable experience to start your accounting career in audit, tax or advisory. You will work on client engagements like those assigned to our entry-level associates, gaining exposure to a variety of industries and testing out your technical knowledge. You will work alongside our senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience as you develop your skillset.

Depending on local office needs, internships are available for part-time or full-time opportunities. Generally, spring semester internships run from mid-January through mid-April, summer internships can typically run from June through July or mid-August and Fall internships are from September through December.

Responsibilities

  • Under general supervision of designated supervisor, to provide support for firm wide copy/printer/scanning services for offices throughout the firm, including related equipment maintenance, ordering supplies, printing / scanning documents, and quality control.
  • Expected to learn all assigned processes Including but not limited to tax or assurance procedures, including such items as data input, scanning, workflow procedures, tax return assembly, financial statement formatting, proposal preparation, report formatting and other support staff functions.
  • Assist offices with copy and binding of firm deliverables, suggesting most efficient and cost saving production methods
  • Operate primary high-volume copier and other office machinery as required.
  • Review output deliverables to assure that work of copy operation meets quality control standards and job deadlines
  • Order related supplies and maintain adequate inventory
  • Sorts and distributes mail.
  • May act as a liaison with other departments. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • May participate in training of new administrative staff hires.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to operate office machines with capability of performing routine preventative maintenance and repairs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications required.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new software, systems and processes in support of varying operational responsibilities required.
