job summary:
A Project Quality Manager is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. The Project Quality Manager leads quality assurance activities in product and industrial projects, ensuring adherence to quality processes and project targets, managing risks, coaching teams, and reporting on quality metrics.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

  • Create, align, communicate, update, and follow up on the Project Assurance Plan.

  • Develop and follow up on the quality tool plan, including manufacturing validation plans (e.g., PFMEA, Control Plan, Capability Studies).

  • Assess, document, and manage project risks and issues.

  • Define targets along with the Project Management Team.

  • Ensure the appropriate project management processes are used.

  • Identify hard points and roadblocks, and escalate them to the Project Manager and line organization.

  • Support and coach the project management team in driving the project with the right quality.Provide training in quality tools and methods.
Skills:

  • Ability to lead activities and projects in a diverse environment.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills with a reliable and convincing approach.

  • Holistic and open mindset with a positive attitude towards people and problems.

  • Required proficiency in the English language for documentation.
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management in the Automotive or Heavy Equipment Industry.

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, CQE, or equivalent.

  • Project Management Professional recognized by PMI.
