Maintenance Planner

Cleveland-Cliffs Steel has an opening for a Maintenance Planner at our Dearborn Works location in our Pickle Line Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM). In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and reliability of equipment utilized with our machinery, water systems, and power distribution. This role plays an integral part in efficiently responding to maintenance requests to ensure that the fast pace of steel production is not hindered.
Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Contribute to the efficiency of maintenance and longevity of equipment and assets for the department.
+ Write, implement, and maintain work order procedures for work to be performed to include all prints, tools, permits and parts. (This will require out of office investigation for procedural analysis). Process work requests daily.
+ Provide personnel copy of work orders and required tools and parts before work order is released.
+ Develop PMs that are credible and provide reliability of equipment based on manufacturer data, time-based data and breakdown data.
+ Ensuring that all equipment has an asset number.
+ Assist in the planning of daily work to keep the work force provided with enough work.
+ Maintain and daily update the departmental manpower for all shifts to include weekend and holiday shifts.
+ Provide technical assistance at job sites as required for specialty jobs.
+ Housekeeping in responsible areas as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in industrial maintenance required.
+ Good organizational and time management skills
+ Ability to communicate and work well with others.
+ Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
