Forklift Operator

Material Handler We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to provide precise inventory information for our company-controlled material stock. This role involves monitoring, organizing, and maintaining the inventory of our products across multiple branch locations, while collaborating with a diverse team. Responsibilities include: Operate sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and side-loader forklifts. Conduct inventory control and cycle counting duties. Enter data for inventory into a computer and record data manually using a clipboard. Load and unload metal materials, including raw materials, both manually and with a forklift. Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or directly from the mill. Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements. Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support the movement of material. Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system regarding material movements. Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags. Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket tasks. Identify material shortages and issues and communicate them to appropriate staff. Perform verification of scrap. Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all work. Assist the quality assurance team in activities related to credits. Perform equipment preventative maintenance and clean-up. Essential Skills: Ability and experience operating a sit-down forklift. Strong attendance and work history with regards to tenure. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Skills in warehouse operations, inventory control, forklift operation, and computer proficiency. Experience with order picking and packing. General labor skills. Why Work Here? This position offers a 90-day temp-to-hire opportunity with job stability in the aerospace industry. Upon direct hire, employees are eligible for 'Career Pathways,' which includes performance reviews and raises twice per year, allowing advancement from level 1 to level 2. Work Environment: Work in a large raw material supplier facility where materials are stored, cut, and shipped to customers. The environment is fast-paced within the aerospace sector. The main building and titanium building are located in Auburn, WA. Shifts vary, including 1st shift from 4am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday, and 3rd shifts on weekends. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $21.70/hr.
