This dual-role position is essential to ensuring accurate billing operations, exceptional patient communication, and smooth front-desk support. The ideal candidate will be professional, reliable, and able to balance administrative precision with outstanding customer service. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable & Billing Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) for Springfield and RCT Endo practices. Submit, track, and follow up on insurance claims in a timely and accurate manner. Post payments, process adjustments, rejections, and denials. Review outstanding claims, file necessary appeals promptly, and maintain up-to-date fee schedules. Accurately review medical documentation prior to claim submission. Collaborate with collection agencies when required. Maintain updated login credentials for insurance portals. Insurance Verification & Patient Education Verify dental benefits via phone or online insurance portals. Provide patients with clear and accurate estimates of coinsurance for scheduled appointments. Educate patients and staff, both in person and over the phone, about dental benefits and coverage. Create accurate treatment plans reflecting patient financial responsibility for staff and patient use. Enter verified insurance and patient information accurately into Open Dental. Customer Service & Patient Concierge Serve as front desk support in Silver Spring when team members are unavailable. Handle incoming and outgoing billing-related calls with professionalism and courtesy. Provide accurate and timely responses to patient inquiries about billing, insurance, and account balances. Ensure all patient interactionsboth over the phone and in personreflect the companys commitment to excellent service and care. Communication & Collaboration Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and supervisors. Share essential information in a timely and accurate manner. Uphold positive, respectful, and professional interactions in all communications. Stay current with dental terminology, including new CDT codes. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior experience in dental billing, insurance verification, and patient account management strongly preferred. Proficiency with dental practice management software (Open Dental experience is a plus). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Flexibility to support both billing functions and front-desk operations as needed.
