Overview

Cage Clerk
A Cage Clerk is responsible for assisting customers in the exchange of U.S. currency for casino chips, credit chips, cash, foreign currency, Golden Nugget documents, negotiable instruments, and ambassadors of company good will. This role also sells gambling chips, tokens, or tickets to casino patrons, pay out jackpots and manages credit applications.

Responsibilities

  • Control and accounting of transactions for the cage window, main bank, chip bank and check bank
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
  • Responsible for the impress bank issued
  • Performs guest and in house monetary transactions
  • Balance and issue impress bank to Floor Attendants, Food and Beverage and Hotel employees
  • Report and log all Title 31 transactions
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of cash handling experience at a minimum; six months of cage cashier experience is preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer terminal and communicate with the public in a clear and friendly manner
  • Knowledge of 10 key, balancing of banks
  • Solid decision-making, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-tasking, hands-on environment
  • Minimum age is 21 years old
