Woodmaster Kitchens, located in St. Clair Shores, MI, is a premier kitchen and bath design/remodeling company for over 60 years. Servicing southeastern Michigan, this well established and growing company is looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and experienced project manager that is organized, motivated and passionate about their work. This is a key position in the company requiring optimal communication skills with customers, contractors and other team members implementing the latest technologies and software. Duties include but not limited to Work with sales person & design assistant as follows: o Reviewplans for correctness & feasibility
Check design dimensions with actual jobsite dimensions o Review cabinet orders prior to sending to manufacturer o Create purchase order for all contract materials o Work on permits, as needed with contractor o Prepare job details for contractors
Produce work orders
Schedule contractors
Schedule all jobsite deliveries & material installations
Set up installation schedule for contractor o Set up pre construction meeting with installers, designer, and project manager. Job handoff to installer. Collect progress payment on time o Contact home owner when payment is due Problem solve installation snags with contractors Daily contact with contractors required Prepare weekly jobsite punch list for contractor Prepare Final punch list with client, designer, & contractor Furnish job completion report to designer & office o Job Autopsy Completed
Provide costs & gross profit percentages Work with receiving person to organize back room Miscellaneous showroom clean-up & repair as directed. Miscellaneous housekeeping duties Attend weekly staff meetings o Prepare job reports for meeting Put out daily fires. ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Minimum Age: 18 must pass drug and background tests. High School Diploma PHYSICAL JOB REQUIRMENTS: Requires physical work such as stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge or experience in the home improvement or construction industry is required. Able to multi task, strong organizational skills, initiative to complete task with little to no direction, self-motivated. ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (both written and verbal) Intermediate computer skills Ability to use tape measure and interpret various measurements. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; keep accurate records and follow up as necessary to complete customers job accurately and on time. Good Interpersonal and customer service skills with a strong sense of urgency and problem solving. Must possess a valid chauffeur license and have access to a reliable vehicle as well as required insurance. Must be flexible to work overtime.
