Summary:

Collaborates with Executive Chef and Sous Chef to create an attractive, satisfying dining experience for residents, families and guests.

Requirements

Education, Training or Certifications Required:

  1. High school plus one year specialized cooking school preferred. 2. Certified sanitation course.
Experience Required:

Special Requirements:
  1. Emotional maturity and good people skills required. 2. Awareness of local, state and federal guidelines. 3. Culinary training or extensive cooking and production experience. 4. Knowledge of basic training techniques. 5. understanding of proper use and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
Cognitive Requirements:

Ability to prioritize workload.

Physical Demands:
  1. Lifts food containers and stock with potential for strains from lifting.
  2. Stands on feet most of the time.
  3. Able to lift 55 pounds or more.
  4. Prolonged walking and standing
Environment:
  1. Exposed to high temperatures and steam with potential for burns.
  2. Exposed to wet floors with potential for slips.
  3. Exposed to sharp opjects with potential for cuts.
  4. May involve exposure to infectious disease.
