Scope of position

CDL Class A Truck Driver to support hauling product safely from our local warehouse to our production facility, and flatbed loads. Train on Day shift, must have the ability to work midnight shift after training completed.

Responsibilities

  • Must demonstrate the ability to maneuver tractor/trailer in and out of docks & drop lots safe & accurately.
  • Verifiable previous experience in trailer and flatbed operations
  • Must understand procedures and comply with all policies & procedures at Company sites.
  • Must be able to perform pre & post inspection and properly fill out provided documentation.
  • Must deliver in timely fashion as judged by dispatcher, supervisor.
  • Must be able to understand and operate computer system.
  • Must be able to work the hours necessary in order to achieve the goals of the company.
  • Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; meets productivity standards.
  • Perform all other responsibilities as assigned as necessary for company to support company operations including as temporary fill in for other driving positions.
Qualifications
  • Verifiable previous experience in trailer and flatbed operations
  • Must have a current commercial driver's license with clean driving record
  • Must have a current DOT medical card.
  • Must be willing, on occasion, to deliver dedicated daily runs due to last minute call-ins, vacations, etc.
