Incident Management Team (IMT) Specialist

to join our Projects Department in Boone, North Carolina. In this role, you will have the responsibility of assisting the standing up of the Incident Management Team (IMT) when a disaster occurs. The Specialist serves a critical role as a liaison between the IMT, DART (Disaster Assistance Response Team), and occasionally Senior Management. Incident Management Team (IMT) Specialist , you will have the opportunity to: Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him. Work on the IMT during a disaster response and supports ongoing DART operations in one of, but not limited to, the following roles: Staffing Coordinator: Work closely with the Response Manager, Medical Coordinator and Team Lead to select and deploy DART staff in roles that are needed in the field. Travel Coordinator: Responsible for all logistics of getting DART staff to and from the field. Administrative Coordinator: Completes all administrative duties required for the IMT. Works non-standard hours and weekends (on-call 24/7) when serving on an IMT. Generate written reports about disaster responses, incorporating feedback, information, and data from response leadership, technical advisors, Program Management Team (PMT), Awards Management Team (AMT), finance, and others as necessary. Facilitate After-Action Reviews (AAR) for responses, gathering feedback from key responders and IMT staff, and leading discussion-based review sessions. Analyze all post-response survey and AAR results to identify insights gained, formulate executive summaries, and provide process improvement recommendations to leadership; assist in implementing improvements. Develop and lead training sessions to equip Samaritans Purse staff to serve on the IMT. Monitor global disaster/crisis situations and provide timely information and recommendations to leadership. Follow policies and procedures of Samaritans Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual. Attend daily morning devotions and participate in prayer support for the ministry, donors, and volunteers. Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public. All other duties as assigned. Learn more about serving with Samaritans Purse. Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in emergency management, international development, or related field Two (2) to three (3) years of Program Management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience International field experience strongly preferred Job Location:
