Shodair is excited to be adding a Behavioral Intervention Specialist to our team at Warren Elementary School. The Behavioral Intervention Specialist provides direct care, supervision, monitoring, and interaction to students in a school based or educational setting, under the supervision of School Based Services Manager. Helps monitor and maintain a safe classroom and utilizes therapeutic communication skills.

The ideal Behavioral Intervention Specialist candidate is someone who:

  • Passionate about mental health
  • Enjoys teaching social skills and emotional regulation
  • Able to work with patients of all different backgrounds
  • Can be a role model to students and provide individualized care
  • Excited about serving Montana's youth

Behavioral Intervention Specialists get to work directly with a therapist every day and learn the ins and outs of mental health therapy.

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
  • A Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, or a related field is preferred however a high school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with SED youth will also be considered.
  • Criminal Records Background Check, Statement of Health, and drug test required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
  • Successful completion of Medication Aide training upon hire.
