Title: Datastage Admin
Location: Remote/Houston, TX
Duration: 12+ Months contract

Job Description-
•Experience in DataStage Administration : 4+ years
•Provide infrastructure operations support and administration of the 11.7 DataStage environments. This includes setting up and testing new installations of DataStage.
•Engineer and Install/upgrade Information Server product suite. Post install Configuration, various data sources configuration for the plug-ins, connectors as well as ODBC configurations.
•Document Runbooks for the installs, Disaster Recovery plans etc...
•Stop/start services, monitor logs, setting up Security, assigning roles, project permissions, Create/Delete projects, create/modify environmental parameters etc.
•Monitor the DataStage servers. Kill/assist release job locks, shared memory locks, hung processes etc...
•pply fixes, patches and service packs as required. Ensure infrastructure and application stability through preventative maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing long term solutions.
•Capacity planning for new projects in the shared environment.
•Liaises with product vendors and technical specialists to resolve issues.
•Hands on experience with Linux systems and shell scripting
•Hands on experience in setting up High Availability topology
•Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Provide advanced technical troubleshooting for DataStage platform
