Paul Mitchell Schools is dedicated to providing premier cosmetology and barbering education, and we are seeking a full-time Education Finance Advisor to join our committed team in Modesto, CA. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. You'll earn:

THE TYPE OF CANDIDATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Associate's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in financial aid roles or sufficient transferable experience
  • Strong understanding of financial aid processing, including Title IV
  • High degree of accuracy to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
  • Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex financial aid regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to perform simple accounting procedures and maintain detailed records
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion policies

A bachelor's degree is preferred

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS AN EDUCATION FINANCE ADVISOR

As an Education Finance Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting prospective and current students and their families with the financial aid process. Your day will involve providing detailed information about available financial aid programs and procedures, ensuring students complete their financial aid applications accurately and on time. You will determine eligibility within federal, state, and institutional guidelines, maintain thorough records, and ensure compliance with all regulations. Your role will also include consistent follow-up with students to provide updates and answer any questions they may have. Your dedication to exceptional customer service and accuracy will be key in supporting our students' success.
