Key responsibilities will include Quality Systems Management, Assessments & Critical Analysis, Problem Solving, and Continuous Improvement. Job Requirements: Introduce new and innovative approaches to continually improve our quality system and practices. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure and report on effectiveness of the quality system. Prepare and facilitate training on our QMS and introduce new or changing requirements. Manage, coordinate, conduct and execute an effective audit program of our quality management system to determine its effectiveness and areas for continual improvement. Manage third party compliance audits of our quality management system. Analyze quality data and information to identify trends and plans for their improvement. Provide reports and updates to various levels of the organization to achieve desired results. Coordinate customer, supplier and other audits and timely responses. Assign and perform internal quality audits. Perform contract and purchase order review. Perform inspections when necessary. Facilitate customer audits and source inspections. Respond to corrective actions. Review, maintain and interpret customer specifications as required. Facilitate cross-functional groups in DFMEA, PFMEA and Control Plan development process and global training of these tools. Have and maintain a working understanding of GD & T. Have familiarity and understanding of PPAP control processes and reporting requirements. Initiates and approves inspection planning, as required, ensuring compliance with Company and Customer contractual inspection requirements. Additionally, reviews and approves first article inspection reports and submits same to the Customer when required. Disposition of discrepant material. Improve and manage the corrective action process and systems to assure elimination of root causes and timely response to identified issues. Utilize problem solving experiences and expertise using a variety of problem solving methods (5 Whys, 5 Step, 8D, etc.). Provide effective training and coaching to grow CAPA competency across the organization. Lead training on quality and continual improvement skills. Ensure that Lean and Continuous Improvement outcomes are effectively anchored and sustained in the Quality Management System. Participate and lead continuous improvement initiatives, Lean Kaizen events, and Green/Black Belt projects. Identify and contribute to annual improvement initiatives, and strategies. Log, Track and Report on performance metrics. Performs other duties as required by manager. Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor. Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported. Skill Requirements: Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or shop floor quality management system experience. Experience in Manufacturing and Quality Standards (ISO 9001/AS9100/TS16949) Engineering Degree with program to include focus on Quality, Manufacturing or Mechanical a plus. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred. Knowledge of SPC Technique Forging experience preferred CMM and Inspection experience a plus In lieu of the above, any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the aforementioned knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered at the Company’s discretion. Compensation: $25.00 - $37.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
