Description:This role will be responsible for completing the mechanical portion of large capital projects supporting the Plant Capital execution. Position will execute design studies, follow procurement and fabrication of equipment, and manage the installation/commissioning/and startup of the equipment.Responsibilities1. Provide Mechanical Engineering design for assigned projects including solid models, layout drawings, component specifications, and bill of materials.3. Create Budgetary Estimates and Bid Packages on assigned projects.4. Create project documentation: mechanical designs, technical offers, safety risk assessments, maintenance & operator training documents, and user manuals.5. Facilitate the order of equipment and materials for assigned projects.7. Provide supervision during equipment modifications & machine installations through Start-up and Commissioning.8. Interface with Plant production & maintenance customers, other engineers, and suppliers to completeSkills:Mechanical engineering, Solidworks, equipment design, Mechanical design, Project management, Project engineering, Change order, Design, Mechanical, Sheet metal, installationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar industry) or Associates degree with equivalent experience3-5 years experience in equipment design or related fieldSolidworks experience requiredProject management experience is highly preferredAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
